The Mason Update: Hotlanta

So I biked to work today… 8 miles, uphill, in the snow, with raging polar bears chasing me. Just kidding, but I did ride my bike, 8 miles, to work. I’m kinda tired from it. I’m kinda feeling awesome though. I really enjoy working out, I usually ride my bike or run when I do work out. Sometimes, I’ll yoga it up (not gay) because it feels nice (and not gay) and it’s a great way to do cardio and soothe muscles that I’ve been working out (and a great way to show I’m secure in my sexuality).

This is how I feel when I finish working out

Anyway, since I’ve biked over to Condesa Coffee I have about an hout before I go in so I’m trying to do two things. One) Blog to you people about my life and how it’s going and 2) trying to install iLife ‘09 onto my Mac. With that being said, guess what time it is!!

                                                     SIDE MISSION UPDATE!

The reason why I’m downloading iLife onto my Mac (which for Mac users, shut up, I know macs are suppose to come with iLife. Mine got wiped from my computer a year ago and I’m just getting around to reinstalling it… It’s not like you use yours anyway.) is because I’m now putting into motion the pursuit of two of my Side Missions. I’m going to start practicing this thing the cool kids call video blogging (which none of you will see) and I’m also going to start sending recordings of guitar music covers back and forth to a friend to help each other get better at playing guitar and singing!! I know! Exciting stuff right?!

This is how I’m imagining your reaction to my news

*AND THEN KRIS WENT TO WORK WHERE HE LEARNED HOW TO MAKE COFFEE, ATE A TUNA FISH SANDWHICH, CHATTED WITH FUN PEOPLE, AND MADE THE MONEY.*

So! Where was I? Oh, that’s right telling you and the internet about my life! So, in the  last episode of “The Mason Update” I was stranded in Atlanta with no mode of transportation. Well, good news everyone, I was able to be given a tow back to Albany to have my step-dad repair it, now it runs like a dream filled with milk, honey, and gasoline. It was also nice to see my mother and sister and collect some small trinkets and objects that I had left behind by accident. Then I drove back to Atlanta that night so that I could go to Buckhead to visit Transit.

                                                               This place

I hung out, ate bagels, drank coffee, and chatted with the leaders. I have one more interview and a then a background check and I’ll officially be a small groups leader! Then, Transit will take a whole month off for summer so I won’t be able to get involved until later. Wah wah!

Nah dawg, now dat jus’ ain’t right!

Yeah, but I still have the people of Condesa and the college ministry at Buckhead to hang out with and keep me busy until then. There’s no rush and I’m having a ton of fun. But, I’m still excited about Transit! And next week I’ll be talking to the leaders of the ministry about hopefully becoming an intern! So a lot of exciting things are still yet to be discovered!

As for Atlanta living, I’m still loving it, yesterday was apparently the first day of summer and Hotlanta (although don’t say that if you actually live here in the city) stuck true to its name and got very warm, but not that “I want to die it’s so humid, it’s like I’m breathing in hot water.” Which is what Albany, Georgia is famous for.

This is a normal occurrence in Albany, happens to at least twenty people a day.

But it was very pleasant, hot day. There was a breeze and everything was sunshine, daisies, and sweet tea! (Because we’re still a southern city ya’ll. [I don’t have a southern accent by the way, just in case you were wondering. Long story, I’ll have to tell it to you guys sometime.]) AND I GOT MORE FREE BREAD FROM THE FARMER’S MARKET!

                                                         ……Shut up….

Also, over the weekend I had an old Albany friend, Chandler Carswell, come visit Brandon and I. We played baseball related activities and ate… A… Lot… O’… Food.  It was AWESOME! MANLY MEN BEING MANLY (Lordy, I need to learn how to use my inside voice, being in Atlanta is changing me.) I’ve had a very pleasant weekend.

Soooooo, yeah, that wraps it up for this Mason Update! I’ve been making news friends, busting into new talents, meeting hot chicks, eating good food, playing, running, biking, meeting hot chicks, getting free food, seeing David Crowder play. You know the usual. I hope you all have been having a great week! As usual I’m more than happy to accept messages or questions from you all! I’ll see you next week!

… Now I’m gonna go bike home. Bye!
